Last Weekend

The plans were made suddenly... And before I could realize, Piyush, Shakuntala and Shashwat were here in Hyderabad... The horrific Mumbai attacks mad made me a bit skeptical and I was just hoping that the guys don't cancel their trip to Hyd, and I kept my fingers crossed...

We went to Ohri's, Char Minar, Xtreme Sports Bar, Mastaan da Dhaba, Lumbini Park, Eat Street, Hussain Sagar Lake, Chermas, ISB, Chai Waala's... We did boating, sleeping, eating, smoking, drinking, screaming, walking, bird watching, evaluating people on roads... Spent a hell of a time on Piyush's application... Went for some long drives... Played Truth and Dare (in which their only target was ME) at Mastaan da Dhaba and then in the car... We (Shashwat and I) manhandled Piyush once... Ate an awesome Egg-Maggi prepared by Shakuntala... The guys made me wear a stud in left ear... Shashwat played cricket, while the rest of us watched... We made plans for movies and then canceled them... Talked at length about all of us and our lives and future plans and about a start up in next 4-5 years and about Salt Lake house plans and about ruining a Bengali marriage with a "Bhootni Ke" styled dance and about plans for coming new year celebrations and about other unmentionable topics... An unforgettable time...

The best thing about Piyush and Shakuntala this time: Found them both much more sensible and matured in their relationship... It was great to hear from Piyush this time, with conviction, that they are tying the knot in 2009 (probably Nov)... It was great to see the confidence on his face... Piyush has changed... and definitely for good... Shakuntala also, is quite excited about her new job... And she should be; she deserves it...

Nice to see all three of them moving ahead... I had two very good friends in Shashwat and Piyush... Now I have three... Love you all guys...
